*All new applications must now be made using our web based application system, CC Grant Tracker which can be accessed at www.lrgrants.org.uk.

Before starting your application please read though the following information to help you use the new online application system.

*Key Facts

You will not be able to access the system until you have registered. This applies to applicants, co-applicants, department heads and research office signatories.

Each application has two sections:

Your personal details: This is unique to you and will be retained by the system. Once you have entered your CV details (not necessary for research office signatories) then it will be retained for use in all future applications. You can update the information at any time so that all your applications will have the latest details.

The application: By following the application link you will see what application types are available to you. Each application type has information and guidelines attached.

You will see a personal home page developing letting you know what applications or co-applications you are involved with and also those you have submitted in the past. You will be able to see (but not edit) the applications after they have been submitted.

*On the site

New users

Please press ‘Register' and enter your email address and then follow the instructions for adding further address details. Please fill out as fully as possible.

You will get an automated email confirming that your information is being forwarded to LR administrators for approval. Once approval has been given you will receive another email containing a unique password and a link to lead you back to CC Granttracker pages.

On entering your email address and allocated password please do so directly and do not cut and paste this information. Remember the password is case sensitive.

Once you have accessed the system you can change details and choose a new password.

Registered users

Fill in your email address and password directly – do not cut and paste. Any spaces in either will mean that the system will not recognise you.

You will be taken to your account from where you can update your personal details, choose a new application to work on or edit an existing one.

Submission process

Download the Submission Process Diagram for a step by step guide on how to submit an application.

Application process

One of the problems applicants encounter is the inability to move through the submission process. This can be for two reasons:

The application has been ‘locked’ by a user. This means that the previous user has not exited the application via the buttons on the left hand side menu: SAVE, CLOSE and LOGOUT.

If you think this has happened to you then go into the application and click ‘edit’. You will then get a prompt to log off the locking user and then you should SAVE and CLOSE. The application will now be unlocked and can move forward.

Signatories are unsure of the process. When a co-applicant, fellow, research office manager or department head are linked they will receive notification by email.

There are then two steps:
*Agreeing to participate in the application.
*Approval of the application as it approaches submission.

If either of these steps are not carried out then the application will not move forward. The ‘co-applicant’ is particularly important here as they need to ‘participate’ and ‘approve’ before the main applicant can validate and submit.

The head of department and research office signatory need to ‘participate’ prior to the applicant submitting and will approve after the main applicant finally presses the ‘submit’ button.

To check for this go to your applications, click on the relevant application and then check on the left hand side for ‘SIGN OFF STATUS’. This will tell you who has confirmed participation and who has and has not approved it.

Top paper copy

After submission to Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, i.e. after the Head of Department and Research Office signatory have finally approved it, please go back to the application, which is still available for you to see, and print off a copy from the PDF you can see. If it has ‘working copy’ written across it then you have printed it before it has been fully submitted and it will have the incorrect reference number on it.

Please post the top copy of the completed application to Sara Darling at 39-40 Eagle Street, Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, London, WC1R 4TH within one week of submitting your application.
