British Gas Business, Oxford, has chosen Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research as their Charity of the Year partner during the charity’s 50th anniversary year, with the target of reaching £10,000 to beat blood cancers.
The launch day on January 19th started the partnership, with staff selling homemade cakes for 50p a slice and a 50p coin trail in reception to mark Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research’s 50 years of fighting blood cancers.
The employees at BGB are really positive about their fundraising to support our groundbreaking research, with a 10K walk planned in April and a Dragon Boat Race in May.
Explaining the branch’s enthusiasm for the new partnership, Gillian Richardson, Admin Team Leader and Charity Committee Organiser at British Gas Business, said:
"We are delighted to support Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research and contribute to funding vital research which will benefit patients in Oxford and across the UK."
